This wonderful pattern was inspired by the story of Ruth and Boaz from Scripture. She is the matriarch of King David, author of the Book of Psalms. One of her most admirable qualities is that she was very beautiful yet strikingly graceful and modest. She had a special angelic dignity about her. Ruth?s greatest ambition was motherhood, and she put her entire soul into her ?life?s work.? She merited seeing the fruit of her labors.

Ruth?s wonderful pregnant tummy is not the only point of interest in this pattern! She?s got a lovely figure, and her legs have ?three diamonds.? Her hips are naturally formed by the shape of her torso, a special design on the leg, and method of attachment. She has full breasts and wears an elegant yet easy-to-make Mediterranean style costume that is designed to be modest without compromising her figure. Her face is needle-sculpted and beautifully drawn with colored pencils. Some of the techniques in this pattern are novel and she is anatomically proportional. By learning and understanding the theory behind the design, the serious doll artist will be able to calculate more sophisticated patterns on her or his own.

Ruth is an intermediate to advanced doll making course. It is written in PDF format and includes all pattern pieces and over 50 pages of step-by-step instructions, illustrations and photos.
