15" Old World Santa

This wonderful Old World Santa is designed to be made from a knit fabric such as doe suede or craft velour (smooth side out, fuzzy side in) ? with some stretch along the cross grain and very little stretch along the straight grain. With a little balancing, he can stand alone. You can also use a regular doll stand, hidden under his clothing.

Santa?s face is needle sculpted, painted in acrylics and shaded with colored pencils. His eyebrows are embroidered.

Chenille stems provide the armature (and stuffing) for the fingers. Arms are button jointed at the shoulders. Legs are sewn to the body. Santa?s lined hooded cloak is reversible.
