This adorable face can be an ornament, pindoll brooch, package decoration, even a tiny pincushion.
This is another example of something ?old? turning into something new. I take part in an annual art walk and like to have a ?hands-on? project. Years ago I made butterflies by folding colored pages from old catalogs?perfect! So, I made a bunch in different sizes, pinned them onto a doll to demonstrate, and had lots of happy kids (of all ages) as they took part in making art. Later, I started to wonder if I couldn?t make them out of fabric. How could I get the fabric to hold the folds? The solution was to bond two pieces together with Heat & Bond, which gave body to the fabric and made it hold the folds and shape. I used lace and organza. Light weight, but durable with the bonding. With a cute face added, it?s no longer a butterfly, but wings for a lovely angel or fairy! This is a simple project.
