Poppet is an 11 1/2? tall doll, with a painted muslin body and an easy to sculpt paperclay head and shoulder plate. She is ribbon jointed at the shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles.

Class instructions include how to create the aluminum foil head armature; shallow head sculpt in Creative Paperclay, face painting and instructions for several wigging options.

Her costume consists of a lace ?undergarment?, bloomers and two-piece dress with matching bonnet.

Full instructions are given for her ?weathered? wooden crate garden seat, topped with a shabby chic cushion; which hides a built-in doll stand to give Poppet stability. To continue the garden theme, a ribbon wildflower garden grows at the base.

Approximately 40% machine sewing and 60% hand sewing. Poppet is an ideal project for those who wish to get a feel for working with Creative Paperclay.

(Full tutorial has 76 pages of written instructions; with 190 color photographs and six color diagrams. There are 14 full size pattern pieces given which are to be printed out by the student on 8 1/2? x 11? printer paper.
