This pattern is a cloth rendition of a vintage doll from the 50?s which was made out of a resin. The new pattern is an EXACT duplicate, and the face is preserved with a special template. It really looks like a baby and is well constructed.
Becky started as a restoration project of a cherished childhood doll whose owner wanted to revive her. She quickly won my heart, and I decided to recreate the entire doll from head to foot, in cloth.
Special features of this pattern include a special iron-on template designed from a photograph that was manipulated in photoshop. Using the template as a guide, you?ll paint a realistic face. Other useful techniques are unusual joints, and a beautiful dress. This doll is child-friendly and makes a sensational heirloom to cherish for years to come.
