The creek behind my house is filled with dragonflies during the summer.
Fifteen inch Cecily is based on several I saw last year. Cecily spends her summer zooming around the forest and creek, pausing here and there to enjoy the sun, sounds and sights, staying out of the way of the blackberry picking bear!
Her goggles are useful for keeping dust out of her eyes and the magnifier helps in looking for interesting items on leaves. Cecily?s wings are made from old pattern tissue paper and wire and are sturdy enough for her to spend many hours in the air!
