Circus Horse Rosie

Rosie the Rosinback Circus Horse
Custom Critters by Nancy Gawron
Rosie, the Rosinback Circus Horse ?Rosinback? is the name they called the steady moving, broad backed horses, which moved in a continuous circle in the center ring of the circus. It took special horses to move at the same pace, while the bareback riders and acrobats danced and jumped on their backs. The name came from the practice of dusting the horse?s back with powdered rosin, before a performance, to give the performers a non-slippery surface to stand on. Rosie is 16 inches tall at the top of her head, so you don?t have to worry about working on a project too small to do a good job on. She is fully armatured so even her mouth is movable.
