Start Date: January 16, 2009 and will run for 6 weeks.?
Are you looking for something a little ?different? to incorporate into your art? ?Maybe you want to give unique gifts that look spectacular but don?t take a lot of time or money.? This workshop will share a variety of ideas for using UTEE- Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel and allow you to work it into all types of creations. ?Paper arts, Fiber arts, Art Dolls- there is really no limit when you use your imagination!? You will learn to create your own mold, then using your favorite mold we will make fabulous marbled faces, incorporate shapes, textures, foils and all those little bits and bobs lying in your craft room.? By mixing a variety of techniques we can create layered pins that will blow your socks off. These pins are the kind you can wear, or attach to a handmade greeting card for a fabulously elegant gift, or even frame. Each lesson will add techniques enabling us to mix concepts to create our own one-of-a-kind art pieces and the best part is? when you don?t like the way a piece turns out you simply re-melt and reuse so there is no wasted product!?
Lesson One - A Pot to Pour In
Using a Melting Pot, students will learn the basic art of melting UTEE and wonderful tips for using assorted mediums to incorporating additives for tint and color while creating two and three dimensional items. ?Learn to create your own mold, pour UTEE into your mold and how to add color and fine details to your finished pieces. ?Use colored UTEE to create a marbled effect to create two dimensional pieces including controlled shapes, random shapes and shapes with a textured surface. ?Create a magnificent card suitable for framing!
?Lesson Two- Faux Dichroic Glass & Beads of Fantasy

?
