Steampunk Kangaroo, mixed media online class
Designed by Frowning Francis
This is a class to guide you through the process of making a Mom and
Baby Kangaroo. It is a fairly easy project that won?t require a lot of time to complete
with the end results being a quirky duo to add to
your Steampunk collection.
The Mom is 10? high, and then with the propeller she is 12? total. She has a backpack,
goggles and a watch and gauge that you make for her.
The baby is 3? high and can stand alone or go in the pouch. He has his own little goggles
and a front row seat to what is going on around him.
They are both made of muslin and then painted. The painting style is easy and does not
require a lot of painting skill.
Techniques taught:
Lesson 1‐ we go through the steps of constructing the kangaroos.
Lesson 2‐ is about painting the dolls, making the goggles and the watch and adding part of the embellishments.
Lesson 3‐ shows making the backpack and the propeller. The gauge on her chest is made
and the rest of the embellishments are attached.
Level: Intermediate. CLASS STARTS October 16, 2017, is ongoing and can be started anytime. It also can be self paced! Teacher available for questions.
