Capturing the Muse

Capturing the Muse: Visioning for Doll Artists
Can you see where your doll art will be in five years? How about next year? What do you wish to accomplish artistically and professionally? Based on my professional background and my own experiences I will introduce a variety of exercises and tools for artistic thinkers. My background includes a master?s degree in education and counseling. This workshop will guide you through the steps needed to set personal goals and to develop a plan for reaching them.

The seminar consists of four sessions. You?ll have a week to complete the exercises in each session and work toward creating your own visual muse.

The assignments won?t take a lot of time; they are designed to help you sail into 2009 full of plans and enthusiasm for dollmaking.

I have presented this in "live" workshops and know that class discussion is an important component of the overall experience. We can accomplish this by reading and writing to the class digest.

There is no specific "class doll" or pattern in this workshop but you will create a doll (or other artwork) to portray your personal muse.

Session One: Journals and how they can boost creativity

Session Two: Exploring Personal Imagery: Portraying Your Muse

Session Three: Your Vision: Your Goals

Session Four: The Practice of Creativity

Hope you will join us.
